Relief Teachers in Nepal are still protesting and calling for permanent jobs in opposition to the government’s education law. The government’s deal on 24th Sep 2023, with the Nepal Teachers’ Union (NTF), which did not meet the relief teachers’ requests, has angered them

An additional test just for full-time government teachers:

To fill the staffing gaps in government schools, there are over 40,000 relief teachers in our nation of Nepal who are either selected by a school management committee or local authorities. On the other side, the federal government’s Teachers Service Commission chooses public school teachers.

However, many public schools are unable to fill open jobs with permanent teachers due to delays in administering tests. As a result, relief teachers are asking for the holding of a separate exam so they can transition into full-time government educators.
